Rock solid durability, dubious ergonomics
Grinding and build quality is top tier. Easy to clean and service burrs. Not easy to clean the doser or get all the grounds out of the chute. Not simple to convert to doserless but unless you're making lots of espresso shots at once often you're better off without the doser. Built like a tank, but with problems
The primary complaint that people have about this grinder is that the it is impossible to clear all the ground coffee out of the chute. When I tried this grinder, I found that the complaints are understated. The grinder has a very narrow chute, too small to allow the coffee to get out of the grinder, so the grinder has to force it out, which packs it in the chute, so the chute is always packed solid with coffee. On the plus side, the grinder is very solid, built like a tank. I wish the chute were better designed because this is the grinder that I'd like to own, but the chute problem is prohibitive. Solid build. Consistent grinds.
Over-all it seems to be very solidly built, with consistent grinds so far. A reviewer had an issue with grinds seeming to get caught in the shoot. I'd agree, that it does happen and seems to be a design flaw, though a minor one with a simple solution. Get yourself an "air puffer" like used for cleaning camera lenses. Point it up inside the grind shoot with a container bellow it, puff puff and voila, shoot unclogged. Great machine
After doing lots of research I decided on this machine. The coffee grinds right into the portafilter which rests on the metal bracket. The bracket is removable if you choose so you can grind directly into any container you wish. It has very precise grind control settings which are easy to use. I like that it doesn't have a storage hopper or "doser" as it's best to grind your coffee then use it immediately. If I had a coffee shop I would want the storage hopper as it would be impractical to grind each cup. Word of advise. The 0 setting may not be your 0. To find the zero setting turn on the grinder without any beans in it and reduce the grind size until you hear the burrs clashing together. Go up one number and that's your 0. Mine happened to be 4. It has two power switches. The white one on the side provides power to the unit and the black one on the front bottom left is for grinding. As long as you hold down the black switch it will grind. It's easy to disassemble and clean, powerful, and easy to accurately adjust the grind. I really feel I made the right decision.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Excellent coffee grinder
I had been urged before purchasing this grinder to buy a "professional" grinder for making espresso coffee by more than one professional advisor on coffee matters. I had always used a good-quality, consumer grinder. This grinder does in fact make a difference, so I am happy that I bought it. It is well-designed, well-made and easy to use. Best grinder ever
I love everything about my new Rancilio Rocky, it has 50 grind levels (I'm using setting 12 for espresso by the way). It is extremely fast, quiet, and easy to clean. I wish I had bought one of these sooner.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Great grinder wiith enough range and power.
Will grind from french press to esspresso. The rotating burr is connected directly to the motor making it simple and reliable. The doser is not perfect but functional and helps break up clumps from oily beans. Not a lot to say bad about it.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

a good grinder
