Sounds Good - Large, Heavy and Questionable Portability
I got this refurbished and at a very reasonable price. My initial thinking was that I could get this and sell my UE Megaboom but as soon as I opened the box I realized that these speakers are intended for very different purposes. I was looking to replace the UE Megaboom because its sound is very dependent on placement - it needs to be up against a wall or in a small room or else it loses the fullness of the sound. The Nyne Bass is very bassy but lacks some clarity in the mid and high tones. I am assuming the bass is due to its wooden end caps which makes this a rather heavy and somewhat awkward speaker to casually tote around. On that note, I am forced to keep the UE Megaboom for instances where I'm not sure if I will be pulling my speaker out and the Nyne Bass for instances where I will "definitely" be using the speaker. The UE Megaboom sounds better when it is against a wall but the Nyne Bass sounds better in open space.

Pleasantly suprised
The sound quality and volume of this speaker is stunning. The nfc pairing is an excellent feature as well. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase!

Great product! Well made and excellent sound....
I really have enjoyed this purchase....the bass is incredible and the sound on my conference calls are clear and easily heard....all around very pleased!!!

The best
I have two ue boom speakers and they don't even come close to the bass that comes out out of the nyne speaker. The only negative comment I have about this speaker is that two nyne speakers cannot be paired two one Bluetooth device. But the nyne sport bass speaker is still the best.

Great sound quality, plenty of bass. Loud enough to fill a large living room. It is large & heavy. Decent battery life.

Packs a mean sound
I love this speaker. It puts out a great deal of sound and bass for such a small speaker. My only complaint is that the carry handle isn't that great; can easily slip out of my grip.
