Reliable and effective
The pervious RTL - SDR Receiver continually overheated and would trip out after 20 - 30 mins use. This modified unit draws less current, stays cooler and hasn't tripped out so far and that's on a warm 30 degree C day working in direct sunlight for over an hour.

Good product.
I was looking for something to try RTL-SDR without spending a lot of money. I have now been using this for a little while and can say that it really does do the job. I am using it with SDR# and with the right drivers it works very well. The only thing that I would add is that the antenna that comes with it is ok but you will need something better.

Lightweight and working but way too HOT!
I measured 55 degrees Celsius during operation which is way too hot imho. So I removed the plastic case to let it breath. It works but I never buy another one... Besides I like to see BNC so we don't need yet another pigtail, which drains the signal by 3dB@1GHz. or worse.

Tiny and works as it should.
Works great as an FM radio in Windows 10 & Mac OSX using the Chrome FMradio app. Picks up a few stations with the provided antenna, just what I wanted it for.
