Pretty much the standard for these pedal loopers
I bought this for my son for Christmas. He plays guitar 2-3 hours per day, and he loves it. It can record 3 hours total time of tracks, and it has "jam tracks" from 90-99, including some very cool jazz and blues backing tracks. I may have to buy one of these for myself. The sound quality of the recordings is very good also. The sound is just like what you fed into it. Plus, it has a USB port so you can save your loops/tracks to a computer. Add to that a rugged build quality and you have a worthwhile product!

Great practice and writing tool
This is a great pedal for working out song ideas without the hassle of getting out the multi-track. I wish I had one years ago. The long loop time and rhythm selection are major bonuses and are well worth the extra selling price (vs. the cheaper boss loop pedals). It's also a great practice tool for working on solos, rhythm parts, bass lines, etc. Definitely one of the best purchases I've made in recent years.

The force is with this pedal!!
Absolutely the best pedal I have ever owned. That's a long time invested in playing. This pedal has all you need to improving your playing abilities. Built in rhythm and a layered channel to play along with. Easy to use operation! Personally I feel you can't go wrong purchasing this pedal. Alto Music on Ebay offers a great deal on the Boss RC3. As Wayne would utter, "Excellent deal"!

Great scratch pad and practice tool
If you write your own music the Boss Loop Station is a must. Easy to use so you'll never lose those licks or chord progressions you want to keep for future songs. It's great to practice with too. You can easily layer all sorts of music on one channel. With 99 channels you won't run out of space. One drawback is the drum volume is too loud so you have to be vary careful playing it through an amp as you could blow the speaker. I have a DRRI and I plug my rig into the second input on the vibrato channel as it has a lower db setting and even then the drum kit at it's lowest volume is fairly loud. I have read complaints on line about this. The drum kits aren't the most intricate but again for practice it has helped me with timing. I'm just a hobbyist so this pedal works great. The PSU is a must as this thing would gobble up 9 volt batteries like it's Thanksgiving dinner. All in all a worthwhile investment.

Excellent Man toy!
I have yet to learn how to use this great invention properly. But having a great time screwing up, once I learn how to make this machine function like it was designed it's going to be even better! Great sound, easy to make some noise with lol. I love this thing!! Oscar

Works well, good price, nice features
Showed up earlier than expected, well packaged (with manuals and safety info), was advertised as used but seems basically brand new to me. I bought the RC-3 mostly for its auxiliary input, allowing you to record stuff into it from a phone or computer easily.

Best playing partner
Very useful tool to expand skills. Kinda tricky to use but I’m 71 and I figured it out after messing with it for an afternoon. The rhythm function is a great feature. During this CoronaVirus time it’s giving me plenty of distraction. I also scored on a 9v converter. Gotta have that. Extremely well constructed stomp box made to last. Hope this is helpful.

fun expansion of my music practice world
I've been using this for a couple of weeks. Still trying to figure out some of the features, but I'm looping. I've downloaded some blues jam tracks into the machine and going for it. Used the Latin rhythm feature for some fun soloing. I didn't need anything more complex, and the price was equal to many outlets. I will get my money's worth from the RC-3.

Buy it!
If you want a moderately simple looper w/rhythm and the ability to load backing tracks- or connect an auxiliary device like a phone or mp3 player- you can't beat this looper. Took me about a day to get the hang of it- I would recommend backing up the backing tracks that come already on it because if you accidentally delete one or record over it- that's the only way to get it back. When you get it- connect it to your computer and copy those files to your hard drive- now if something happens you can just put them back on the pedal. It has 9 tracks 90-99- already on it, really fun stuff to play over. I also got theFS-5U foot switch that goes with it- makes it more intuitive to use imo. It's packed with cool features and ways to edit and save what you've recorded. It has 24 bit resolution which means you can stack several tracks before you start noticing any loss of sound quality. The RC5 is even better but- much more expensive- this one does almost all the same stuff for much less.

Good pedal for the money
Bought used but advertised as like new. Found that the top volume control knob sticks which wasn't mentioned. Will have to resolve that issue. As for the pedal itself, I use it to hone timing. A great teacher it is. Really like the drum patterns it comes stock with too. Can't go wrong with this pedal. So simple and does so much.
