Streamlight ProTac HL Headlamp 61304
This is one those items that you don't realize how much you need it till you forget to pack it in your backpack for a hunt. I will not deer hunt evenings without this in my backpack period. It has helped me find poorly hit deer, it happens, by using the high beam to penetrate the thick underbrush. It has high, med., and low to make sure you have that spotlight like beam on high to locate downed game, and low enough light for close range work and reading around camp. Great product. Two thumbs up!

Awesomely bright light for the price, doesnt work with 16650 batteries though.
This light is bright as hell and very sturdy. It is heavier than the rest of streamlights headlamps that have plastic housings, but it is well balanced and almost un-noticed when mounted to a hard hat. I was hoping that i could run a 16650 battery in this light as i do in my surefire 6p and solarforce 6p clone (cr123a batteries are such a hassle to buy and continuously change during jobs), but the cut off voltage for the streamlight led must be above 4.2v because all it will do is blink with a fully charged battery installed. With the battery voltage issue aside this light meets all of my other expectations and i would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-lumen output flashlight .

Protac 61304 headlamp rave review.
Best thing since sliced bread. It is bright, but can be switched (with some practice) to dim or double dim. Battery life goes up as the brightness goes down. The light uses two CR123A lithium batteries; it is best to buy these in some quantity (at some discount) to help with battery costs. I may have initially bought a box of a hundred such batteries. I have a few of these lights; I now buy them for gifts for people that I want to better be able to survive some calamity in the darkness. Additionally, they are quite handy when there is no calamity. I prefer the red and black headbands; it seems that the newer versions don't seem to come with both the red & black headband and the stretchy black hard hat band (aka "head band") as the older versions did; the newer ones only come with the black thing. That in itself may be a calamity.

Well made and super bright but cannot use re-chargeable batteries in it !!
Make sure to read description thoroughly!! Didn’t know until AFTER I purchased it cannot use Rechargable batteries in it !!!! Other than that it’s well made and easy to use and adjust and EXTREMELY BRIGHT !! If I were to order another one I’d be sure to order the RE-CHARGABLE version !!

This Light Is AMAZING . I Work With My Hands So This Light Works Great For Me. High Med. Low. I Use It Most Of The Time On Low To Get Max. Batt. Life . Streamlight Products Are Of Super Good Quality.

Poor design with expensive batteries replacement
Headlamp eats batteries extremely fast plus the headlamp gets hot!!! (with in 5 minutes of use). I work for a refinery and i need the best work equipment in the work industry. My advice buy a rechargeable headlamp.

Well Made
Great headlamp. Very well made, much better quality than other headlamps I have used. First impression was it was going to be heavy but don’t notice the weight when in use.

Power when you need it.
This head lamp really lights up the work area. I flip houses and do the work myself and spend time in crawl spaces. The wide bright pattern for overall work is great. Being able to dim it for longer battery life is handy for general moving around.
