Easy to set up and use
Very easy to set up with your Alexa account, was up and running in a couple of minutes. I use Echo dots mainly to control Smart devices around the home such as light and switches and works very well. Also use it as a speaker to play music and for something so small the sound quality is good. One thing to bare in mind is that you must ensure devices state they are Alexa compatible as some third party devices do not work correctly with voice commands.

my third Amazon Echo Dot
I'd actually ordered the deep sea blue, but a charcoal item arrived. That's not a problem as the colour is only a minor feature. This is my third Amazon Echo Dot over the last few years and I'm as pleased with this one as with its predecessors. The sound quality is not as good as on my phone, but that's something for the Amazon techs to work out for the 6th generation model. Otherwise, I'm pleased with my purchase and very pleased with its price and speed of delivery.

Good Value For Money? Yes.
Probably think your not going to get a good sound from a speaker just a few inches diameter. Wrong! For its size the sound is amazing. This Dot Gen5 gives a lot of sound, but it is also clear, and the tone is good too. You get bass and tone which is very acceptable. A good feature on the speaker is raised + and - buttons for loudness and the mute and in it buttons for the microphone. There are good features if you are fumbling in the middle of the night, for example, if like me you wear glasses during the day but take them off at night. As you probably aware this unit has Alexa built in, more than a mind full of knowledge and very quick to respond. There is software to load on your phone to help set its many features up, and it’s nice to wake up to a greeting and a summary of the news, or weather, or simply to play some music of your choice. This version of the Dot Gen5 does not come with a visual scrolling clock, thus making it a bit cheaper than the version that does, but it is excellent value for money and the time is only a question away.

Great sound quality for the size of the Loudspeaker.
This is my first close encounter with. AI. and I am impressed with the technology. It is a well-made product and considering the size of the loudspeaker the sound is very impressive. I’m still getting to grips with all it offersBut it certainly is a great piece of kit.

I wish I bought the Alexa Echo Dot sooner
I'm absolutely delighted with my Alexa Echo Dot. It's perfect to listen to the radio and has an amazing sound. I can also use it to make phone calls just asking Alexa. I would definitely recommend it

Access to a different world ….
Its access to music of all kinds is unbelievable and wonderful. Information for every day living is so easily accessible, eg bus timetables, flight times train, recipes, etc etc. For the elderly and the sight impaired it opens up a different world - it is a godsend. Thank you very much.

Great tool for corner of a room
It was easy to set up, took 5mins, it’s helpful for turning lights on off, giving me the weather for my area, will let me know if theres a severe weather warning for my area and good at answering any questions I ask it

Great
Really great little product and used in bedroom as morning alarm. Would have preferred the dot with the digital clock but apart from that you can’t fault the product
