Seven Samurai Criterion Collection
This is a highly rated movie on most reviews and after watching it, I also agree. I would also say that this movie is somewhat strange, in that the acting is not what I would have expect in a Japanese movie. The Samurais are a little more outspoken and somewhat funny at times. Overall, I enjoy watching this movie and the criterion version comes with a nice booklet on the movie.

Ībei wa kore made no tokoro DVD ni saitekidesu. Wa karimasu ka?
One of the greatest movies ever made. 7 Samurai changed the way American Westerns were made, as much as the Eastwood "Dollars" Spaghetti-Western films. Kurosawa's framing is profound. If you watch any of his films he will teach you just how long you can remain on a shot without boring your audience to death. He also invented several camera shots. The only other movie that comes close to this elegance, grace, and passion is Rashomon [In A Grove].. also by Kurosawa. Finally, I would like to brag about eBay's quality policy. While I have had to return 2 film DVDs to Amazon, eBay continues to bat a 1000 for product punctuality, transparency, and quality. So far (and that's a LOT of so far) all orders have been on time, and as advertised.

"Seven Samurai" is a great movie, way ahead of its time.
The 3-disc set was in excellent condition. The film is a classic in both story and film-making.

Classic but still rich on price
I am happy to have finally found a Seven Samuari but cheaper would have been better but that is always the case on anything bought really. I do like that it is sealed.
