Big fan, for big reasons
As a tall-ish person, after decades of playing basketball, volleyball, etc., my knees and ankles can't take a lot more abuse. After trying many different brands and models, I've learned the shoes that are kindest on my joints bear the name "Nike Air." Low-tops are easiest to put on and take off, and as a male in middle age, I really appreciate being able to wear an all-black shoe, for work or home. Especially during colder months in the North, these all-leather-top Nike Air Monarchs fit the bill beautifully. I have purchased and appreciated this model for many years. They don't last forever, but no shoe does. While they're on top of their game, though, these shoes give my joints the cushioning they need for strenuous walking and other activities, day in and day out, and the soles offer the grip I need to keep from slipping in snow or rain — all while looking good, and being easy to maintain — most spills just wipe away. I've never had a pair of these come apart on me or disintegrate prematurely. It's well-made, and a reliable solution for me, as I expect they and their descendants will be for years to come.
