That VOODOO that you do!
A nice molding of the F-101 VOODOO used by the U.S. Air Force and air national guard units. As a youngster, I watched these fly overhead in my hometown from Ellington AFB. The kit comes with great markings for a Texas Air National Guard (TANG) VOODOO as well as a Canadian aircraft. During a "William Tell" competition flying against F-15's and F-4's, the VOODOO's from this unit won the marksmanship trophy! It was a sad day to see these retired from service. I was able to obtain a mechanics patch from the unit that had an African warrior shield with a witch doctors mask on it laying over a crossed screw driver and wrench. Monogram models are the best value for your buck.
I love building models of all kinds. From cars to ships to planes. In fact I have over 300 built and about the same to build. I’m in my late 40’s and have been building since I was 10. I don’t think there’s a manufacturer out there that I haven’t built from with the exception of the high dollar designs. But one of those could creep into my collection as well. To me monogram models have been my favorite to work with. And this one of the F-101 Voodoo is one of my favorite builds. I have 3 built and I have two more of them in various scales to build. Monogram has easy to follow instructions and paint and decal guides that virtually anyone can use to build a great model of their favorite subject. Plus they are cheaper and just as good as some of the foreign competitors. You can also buy aftermarket parts to add to the realism or detail.
