Life saver for shoes
While somewhat pricey Shoe Goo has done a good job for me of repairing shoes that have to my mind prematurely worn, In my case a particularly comfortable pair, I just did not want to throw out. The right sole was badly worn, which I put down to it being the accelerator/brake foot.
After a thorough roughing up and cleaning of the area I was able to complete a repair that has to date lasted several months. I used several thin layers to build up a decent thickness, About 20% of the sole area was involved, roughing up and cleaning with alcohol after each application, that was left overnight to cure.
Straight from the tube, it is quite easy to work. I used a tongue depressor dampened lightly in water, so it won't stick, to work the Shoe Goo right in to any corners, and on to the earlier layer. If you use too great a thickness, be prepared for it to 'sag' if not left to set in a way to avoid it doing so.
The only real downside, as far as I am concerned is its cost, why the clear appears to be a bit cheaper than the black I also find peculiar.
