The Heresy III really sparkles and can rock!
The Heresy III has had a long history of satisfied customers since 1957, which is why it it is still in production today with only a few minor changes to the design. The sealed box design, with large 12" short throw woofer and horn-loaded mid-range and tweeter, (all high quality drivers) all contribute to the performance. We already owned a 1985 version of the Heresy. It was the last of the series 1s so we already knew they were an excellent speaker. My wife and I are loving our new IIIs which have a slightly better bass response and slightly better efficiency. You don't need an insanely high powered amp for these either. Just a good amp that has that all important high quality "first watt". At normal listening volumes, our amp is just cruising at around 1W driving the Heresy IIIs! It is the perfect speaker for low powered tube amps and I've heard about some audiophiles that run them with 3W amps! If you consider yourself an audiophile, consider the Klipsch Heresy. My past has caught up to me.
I was 15 when I first even heard of and listened to Klipsch Heresy speakers. Time has passed and 30 plus years later I have a pair. I'm running them using my Rotel Reciever enjoying my vinyl om Technics 1200MK3. But, enough about my happiness. Lol. The Klipsch Heresy III came a week early! They arrived in the original unopened factory package in sequential numbers. They sound and look great. Thank you!
