Easy to install
Easy to install, it is the same process as you on flat display Samsung or a laundry from another brand. Just to install physically and a few steps to configure the software. More new than the other appliance because it accepts new network wifi protocols and security, more updated than the other one.

These work really well.
These work really well with the new Smart Things app. Note that these are the 2nd generation USB sticks and clearly these don't have the problems of the first gen. I have them on both washer and dryer (bought new in 2017). Pairing them was a pain because the instructions didn't match my equipment exactly. But once it was all connected, it's been flawless. My only knock is that these are a bit pricey for what they do, but I couldn't find them anywhere else. They look to be discontinued now.

Samsung washer n dryer
Haven't tried it out yet on my dryer but the washer let's you no what the cycle is doing how much time is left and when it ends. Wish it did more but it is what it is. I like that convenience.
