Perfect for post mounting
Bought this to replace a standard metal hose holder that was attached to a 4x4. Bought a new 4x4 and this fits perfectly without being too heavy as it extends out from the post. Installation is about 5 minutes, so really simple. This was the best price I could find as well, unless you find a refurbished one in stock. I do recommend getting your own lag screws, though. You can use wood screws but I felt more comfortable with lag screws. To finish it off, you can buy whatever 4x4 topper you like from your favorite home improvement store. Add some weatherproof stain to the post for durability as well. Altogether, I spent less than 200 on the whole thing (with existing water line of course).

Not nearly as sturdy as it should be for the price.
The product overall is of decent steel. However the pivot shaft rocks and wobbles quite a bit. For the cost of the product I was expecting this item to be a lot more robust. It is nice and functions great but i do expect to have to replace it in just a couple short years i am am fully expecting the pivot joint to fail. Also the pipe connection doe not appear to be a full 5/8" as it is restricting water flow quite a bit. I would recommend the mfg use a more stout pivot joint and thicker metal at the top for the lock as they was too thin. I would not at recommend this product.

Mounted hose reel.
I have a very long hose and this is an excellent solution to watering in the various places I must use it. I used to have to drag it and then coil it when I was done. Now the reel does most of the "dragging" work and it is easy to secure when finished. A great product and good bargain for the money and it is attractive mounted on my deck supports. After seeing the ease of using mine my son-in-law has decided to purchase the same thing.

the outside round rail on the spool should be a solid tubing not a stamped piece of sheet metal

Needs four corner mounting bracket screws instead of three in the center
Hard to mount on brick house.Needs anchors on all four corners so it would be more stable in mounting.Will modify mine when the weather warms up. Really a handy nice reel.only needs the mounting bracket drilled different.

EASY TO INSTALL WITH MINIMUM HARDWARE. THE POWDERCOAT SEEMS TO BE OF GOOD QUALITY AND THE CRANK HANDLE AND SPOOL ROTATE FLAWLESSLY. I MOUNTED IT TO A 4X4 POST CEMENTED INTO THE GROUND. THE WIFE LOVES IT AND I'M OUT OF TROUBLE AGAIN!

Work great
Product came quickly and was easy to find install. We bought 2 and had them up and operating quickly. Easily the best hose reals we have ever owned. Quickly reals out and in at least 100' of heavy hose.

Great quality and functionally designed.
Needed something outside my garage to keep my hose off the ground and this worked perfectly. It's solid and winds my hose quickly.
