Best thing since Sliced Bread
I have seen cheaper pitters but this one works the best. I would never consider making a Cherry Pie to pit the cherries without one. Now that the cherries are on sale I might try canning some in my pressure canner for winter use. Easy to use, east to clean and it does not make a mess when using. WOW, pits fast!! Cherries, plumbs, olives and other small fruits.
Hard working little machine. It pits cherries, and I tried it on some small plumbs..Excellent! I always scoffed at the idea of using such a thing. How silly of me. Not only does it make fast work of pitting fruit, but it doesn't waste anything. It took my husband 4 hours to pit cherries by hand, and I did it with the cherry piter in about 20 minutes. Inferior New Design - Handheld OXO Cherry Pitter
After years of using an OXO Cherry Potter, the metal ring holding the clear exit tube broke. Had to replace it, naturally went with OXO. The new model has been constructed more cheaply, engineering out the metal ring, and replacing it with plastic. Clear tube disconnects and falls with the pit. Makes for a horrible mess. Have noticed OXO is redesigning other classic kitchen tools, guess to drill costs out while retaining the unit sales price. Not a smart move for their kitchen tools are becoming cheap, and no longer reliable. I am looking to replace this item. Any ideas?Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Fantastic gizmo
I pitted about five pounds of cherries using a straw and a bottle before I broke down and bought this pitter. It works great, but sometimes it misses a pit...no biggie. Great cherry pitter
works great, it's like a hand held hold puncher, it punches a hole in the cherry and the pit pops out. Sometimes when you aren't centered just right they don't pop out, you just poke a hole along side of the pit so watch that each pit really pops out.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
