A reasonably accurate yet cost effective cartridge case trimming solution
Honestly, there are more accurate case length trimmers available, but none are as cost effective as the Lee Case Length Gauge and these will keep your cartridge cases trimmed to safe length. This Gauge must be used with the Lee Case Cutter and Lee Lock Stud (Cutter and Stud are sold together as a set). This particular Gauge is designed only for the .303 Cal. British Lee-Enfield Rifle. *** Cartridge Case Trimming IS Essential *** For those new to rifle and pistol cartridge reloading, as cartridges are fired and reloaded, they begin to stretch in length. Eventually the cartridge case will stretch to the point were the lip will seat too deeply when the reloaded cartridge is chambered in the rifle (or pistol) and the chamber will force the lip to bite into the bullet causing chamber pressures to rise likely to dangerous levels when the cartridge is fired. Trimming cartridge cases back before priming, charging, and seating the bullet, eliminates this dangerous situation.
