An excellent classic productivity software bundle for Windows XP and other retro Windows operating systems!
Back in the early 2000s, I had fun with Microsoft Works 6.0 and its Portfolio software, which were preinstalled on an HP Pavilion desktop PC with Windows XP Home Edition on it (a computer I used to have). Over 20 years later, I finally rediscovered it on the Internet and decided to collect this productivity suite bundle for nostalgia. My copy of it is the Dell "For Distribution With PC" edition, which includes two bonus Dell Picture Studio programs: Dell Image Expert Premium Edition and Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7. They are very essential for organizing and editing photos in the style of the good old days. The main programs are Microsoft Works 6.0, Microsoft Word 2002, Microsoft Money 2002 Standard, Microsoft Picture It! Photo 2002, Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia Standard 2002, and Microsoft Streets & Trips 2002. Most of them are from 2001. All of them can be installed on compatible PCs with ease. Microsoft Works 6.0 brought back amazing memories because of its Portfolio software, which has interesting sample images of animals and scenery. The Portfolio software is very unique for having a high-tech space machine-styled rectangle that can stick to one side of your computer screen if you'd like to have it displayed on your desktop in order to easily come back to it and switch over to other modes. It is so cool! Rather than buying Microsoft Works 6.0 individually, Microsoft Works Suite 2002 was a great deal. Microsoft Word 2002 is a very useful word processing program for different types of documents. Its interface is very similar to Microsoft Word 2000 and it features a Microsoft Agent character named Clippy, who happens to be an anthropomorphic paperclip available as your mascot. Microsoft Money 2002 Standard is just a financial suite, so there is nothing too special about it to describe, aside from its unique introductions with narration. It makes it pretty interesting to start using. Microsoft Picture It! Photo 2002 is an excellent software program for creating cards and envelopes for special occasions, as well as family photo albums, animations, projects essential for businesses, and everyday items like calendars and shirts. There are lots of excellent, classic-looking designs to choose from. Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia Standard 2002 has lots of educational information about things of the real world and events from 2001 and prior. It is very fascinating and interesting to use, even to this day. I like how every time it starts up, a small animation window plays with a short jingle heard. It is one of the most unique things I've ever seen in a classic encyclopedia software program! Finally, Microsoft Streets & Trips 2002 is designed for viewing locations across the continent of North America. The map of North America featured looks great, and it's great for viewing the US mainland, the US state of Alaska, and all provinces and territories of Canada. Too bad Hawaii is not available as a selectable location though! Overall, this productivity software bundle is very impressive if you'd like to relive the truly amazing years of Microsoft and its computer software. Sadly, it won't work on modern computer operating systems like Windows 10 and Windows 11, so the only way to get it to work is to use a computer or virtual machine with Windows XP or earlier. In fact, I was able to install and run the programs on Windows XP Home Edition SP3 very well. Needless to say, I would definitely recommend going for this classic software CD-ROM set as long as you have a compatible Windows operating system still in use!Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht
