Boosts my signal, convenient belt clip
One of my acoustic guitars has a somewhat weak preamp. It sounds good, but emits a weak signal, making it difficult to get a good performance level through most P.A. systems. I bought the Gigpro to boost the signal, and it does that very well. Not as versatile as I'd been led to believe
Bought this to boost a weak passive resonator (Fishman) pickup on Dobro Hound Dog Deluxe. It works but just barely. The pickup is so noisy and tinny that feedback occurs at low volume. Further research led me to 2 conclusions: Dobros should be miked for accurate sound. Fishman needs to redesign their resonator pickup. I bought a Lace resonator pickup that uses two-sided tape to mount on top of guitar in neck position. Properly set up this is usable with a guitar amp, running through the Baggs GigPro. Amazing piece of equipment. Bought to use with JJB Prestige 330 passive pickup, but actually using it with all electro-acoustic guitars as it just makes any guitar sound better and gives you more control. Exactly what I needed!
It gave me the tools I needed to expand the tones of my guitar, which was woefully underpowered with the pickup that it came with from the factory. Now I can go out and fill any sound application that I need with the GigMaster Pro.
