LTO3 maybe outdated. But it is 400GB of durable storage!
It is simple. No any currently available storage technology promised you the guaranteed retention time. Most flash devices will die silently in some unexpected period, when they will detached from power source. "Old spinning rust" is better, but also have no guarantees in five or ten years.
