The EVF displays information about the exposure settings before you even capture the image, so pick from any mode you want. The rear three-inch LCD screen features a 1,228,000-dot resolution for previewing and framing images. It's also resistant to reflections. The ability to tilt 180 degrees vertically and rotate 270 degrees horizontally gives you more freedom when shooting. Sony A99 cameras can also add depth and detail to your videos with 24p to 50p/60p full HD recording at a maximum video resolution of 1920 x 1080 in AVCHD format. The SteadyShot Inside image stabilization helps compensate for a shaking or moving camera, which gives you the ability to capture sharper images. Attach any Sony lens you want, and the device will automatically compensate for any aberrations or lens distortion on it.The digital camera's lithium-ion battery will last approximately 500 shots (or 410 shots with the viewfinder active) before requiring a recharge. Tested to withstand the rigors of real-world conditions, the Sony A99 features a magnesium alloy body that is light and strong, protecting the sensitive equipment from dust and moisture. The shutter can also withstand over 200,000 releases before performance begins to degrade. The A99 has numerous ports, including an HDMI output, a hi-speed USB 2.0 port, a DC power input, and a microphone and headphone slot. World's lightest full-frame digital camera takes pleasing photos in very low light.
Good results with low noise can be taken at 3200 and even 6400 ISO. The camera is a joy to use and is easy to carry. At ISO 400 or 800, the photos are amazing. This camera has all the features any good SLR would have, but it also has an excellent viewfinder that shows you what the image exposure and focus will look like. Should have bought one of these long ago!
As a concert/wedding photographer I do a lot of shooting in low light situations. Until now I have been relying strictly on my low light (1.4, 1.8, 2.8) lenses. Now that I have upgraded from my 2 SONY A77s I am able to get shots in lighting situations that even with those great lenses were impossible. I even photographed a band at 12,800 ISO and got very usable images. I love the full frame vs the cropped sensor although now my favorite 20MM 1.8 lens is actually too wide for some of my applications. I really do miss the pop-up flash, I had mastered it with my A77s and had no need for an external flash. Fortunately my girlfriend still has an A77 so she takes care of all of our flash work. The lenses that came with this camera were redundant to lenses that I already have. Still a great camera
a99 mk1 is still a great full-frame camera, and a stellar value right now in the $1000-$1200 price range; about a third of the new mk2. Yes the mk2 is a superior camera, but the a99 delivers clean images up to iso 6400, shoots 6 fps (up to 10 in jpeg, crop mode) and Full HD video. The tilt and swivel screen is amazing, the EVF is bright and clear and beautiful, and the body is weather sealed and feels good in hand. Yes, it should have had more AF points and I wish Sony could update the firmware to support XAVC-S and S-Log, but it is first and foremost a stills camera that can take 1080p 24/60 fps video. Unless you need 42 mp, or the newer video codec, there's no reason not to buy the a99 if you're looking for full-frame A-mount camera.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Great value for the money
High density CCD makes very nice enlargements. Very fast transfer rates. With a 90MBS SD installed you can take quite a few high definition picts, maybe 2 full seconds before the camera slows noticeably from its 12 picts per sec rate to about 9 FPS;. Even slow this beats nikons and canons best. Nice to have when photoing your Karate Kid in action. Or humming birds. The picts are a full 24 Megapixel too.. Puerists love the other guy's top of the line because they have good low light sensitivity. Well they are right. But since I don't take pictures in the dark without Infra red illumination or flash I really don't care and wouldn't spend another $3K for a few ISO steps. The main reason I bought this though was the Minolta lenses. Their great AF days was in the 90's and I have the 100macro, some G qooms and a few singles. Man do they impress with the color and sharpness. Again Canon and Nikon have great lenses too. maybe even better, but not for the color. And of course they are way expensive and the difference not noticable to most people and even then not on normal size display prints. So overall this is a good top of the line camera. Still a Great Camera. Perfect Upgrade from Sony A58
Love this camera as soon as I got it, produced beautiful low light images. A lot to learn but every feature seems to be geared toward repeatable better pictures with outstanding quality. Sony A99- an awesome camera
This is an absolutely awesome camera...but it is for sale now. I love the camera and the quality of the product and the photos but...I have arthritis in my hands and the camera is simply too heavy for me to carry for the number of hours that I use it. I do fire and rescue photography and the average scene takes holding the camera for about an hour and a half. I did three wrecks in one day shortly after purchasing this camera and paid for it that night while trying to sleep. Falling hard for Sony A Mount cameras
If there had been a 4.5 star option I might have used that, only because the Sony menu system is a little less intuitive than Canon's and requires that you scroll through every item, unlike Canon's which allows you to scroll groups, rather than individual items. Otherwise, I'm using the Sony cameras more than the Canon 5D MKII's that I have. Especially for studio work. The built in image stabilization is unbelievably good - allowing images I would not be shy about using professionally - like 105mm lens at 1/5 second f2.8 and razor sharp. a99 Great camera specially if you have Minolta glass
Good quality ISO performance for a 4 year old model, can easily be used at ISO 800 with no quality issues, you can go higher, but, I don't. You can get some really excellent lenses made by Minolta for much cheaper than Sony counter parts and you can round up a very nice system for not a lot of money.
