Logitech TV Sound Systems
I have a smaller version of this on my 42" Samsung. The speakers in the Samsung were rattly and not clear. The Logitech system solved those problems. I bought this one and put it on my 55" HiTense. Sounds nice and clear and bright, with good depth from the sub-woofer. Sounds better than with with the stock tv speakers which were better to start with on the HiSense than they were on the Samsung. Logitech Z506 5.1 Speaker System: Great System, but with very POOR 'Build Quality'.
This entire Logitech line in the Z506 5.1 Surround Sound Speaker System is, either, poorly designed or is VERY poorly built. I've had two of these systems and both have been defective. I look online and I find lots of replacement 'Main Control Speakers' and lots of 'Subwoofers' for sale. I see even more 'Manufacturer Refurbished' Systems. There are more 'Refurbished Systems' for sale on eBay, than there are 'New Systems'. Plus, there are a great many 'Used Systems' for sale. Thus, there does seem to be 'universally experienced' failures in the Z506 product line. Logitech should be ashamed. I think it is very poor 'build quality'. Whoever builds these systems for Logitech will require far better 'Quality Control' during builds. I doubt is it poor design. The Speaker System works great, when there are "NO PROBLEMS".

Speaker replacement/upgrade
I bought these to replace my (10 year old?) sound blaster 5.1 surround sound system, as I could only get two speakers to play and it finally bugged me enough to replace them (I had used splitters to send the same signal to the front and rear and also sent the left or the right to the center speakers).. Lo and behold, only two speakers worked on the brand new system. After much checking and playing with the system, I realized that when I replaced my desktop computer two years ago, the sound card only supported stereo and not 5.1 surround sound. I bought a new sound card and the speaker system now sounds fantastic. I forgot how much more in-depth sound came from the center and rear speakers and it adds a whole rich listening pleasure that I have missed for two or three years. On a side note, I tried my old sound blaster system with the new sound card and it worked fine. I took my three sets of splitters and hooked them up to the rear of my computer and tied in both systems. Now I really had volume and clarity, but difficulty balancing volume between the two systems, as there were separate volume controls. The new logitech speakers had superior sound, so I dropped down to just using these. I love them! (Note that I keep the separate base volume on nearly zero, as I do not like the thump that this can produce to drown out the crystal clear sound of instruments and vocals. Quality sound system
This Logitech external speakers are produces great quality sound systems , and excellent value for its price. So far I never had any problems with the speakers. It's very easy to install . Logitech speakers
When I received the new speakers it thought my motherboard was bad. No sound and did not work. I bought a new sound card thinking that would fix things after rechecking everything possible with the speakers. Still no sound with the speakers. The Bose head set worked fine with the sound card on the mother board and with the new sound card. Figured the speakers came bad and not working. Borrowed another set of speakers and they worked. So now I know that the speakers were bad on arrival. Rechecked them so many time until the last time the litter speaker that has the power slipped out of my hand and fell to the desk. A great selection for the computer!
Yes, I agree with the 5 Star Rating given by the other reviewers I've seen here. The sound is beautiful; the volume delivers the Highs and Mid-Range tones nicely. And the Bass is resonant (you can control) as Bass lovers would expect. Even the Bass on commercials on YouTube, renders the real movie theater impact, you might have to lower after what you may have been musically listening to. I'm very please with my discriminating selection of this Logitech system. But as of this review, this is my first week with it. If I went to the store.
I could not have gotten a better deal if I had gone to the store and picked out and tested them before my purchase. Excellent sound quality and stylish look and above all everything works as advertised. The speaker housings are sturdy and solid. The cables are of good quality. In all likelihood these will last through more than one computer system - for years in other words. It had all the necessary cables for whatever type of sound sytem I might have had. I plugged it in to my laptop setup and plugged it into the outlet, turned on the power and whaalaah - 5.1 stereo! The only thing missing was any type of instructions. Of course, everything is labelled and all the cables are color-coded. surround sound on the cheap.
this thing used to be $100 in 2013 mind you. It gets the job done, but the rear speakers can barely put out sound without being on high volume. The cables reach a good distance and you can always buy extenders. these can NOT be hung on walls without a stand for them to sit on. Good bass and great listening for at desk music or movies. however if you want high quality true "surround" sound, get a higher priced system and one thats not seller refurbished. mine looks good until you look real up close to see blemishes and small scratches. for $40 it's a steal.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

I never knew you could get this kind of sound from a pc.

This is really what i would call a snag,it work really really well and turning it up to 1/2 can already throw you a house party, its really good quality and i would really recommend buying this because the surround sound makes things come to life and the bass shakes the ground.
