Good way to start with fixing the transmission. Relatively easy to install.
Helped to solve various issues with AW55-50/51 in Volvo V50 MY2005. Handy manual comes with the solenoids including simple steps how to adapt the tranmission faster. I'm driving the car in next days after the repair for shorter distances each day so it can learn how to shift. Every drive it gets better. Do not expect fix of the transmission in every case. There can be a damage of some different part in the gearbox... This part is good to start with. Steps: - Change the solenoids including the bracket - Use new seal for the oil pan (rubber one is better than sealant) - I've exchanged only about 4L of ATF 3309 Mobil fluid (after some more KM will do another 4L half-change) - used universal DELPHI OBD tool to set "new oil" and "reset adaptation". - carefully driven for a couple of hours with steps from the instruction sheet from rostra (in box). Did more than 5 attempts of given steps. - I have not touched the torx screws on the solenoids. Just installed them as is.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Saved the day on my maxima
After replacing transmission in a 05 Nissan Maxima I still had issues with the shifting amd was going to replace the replacement for a customer . After resting about this product I tried it and so far I haven’t received any complaint about the way it shifts now . Saved me 1000 of dollars. Solved my 05 Volvo S40 downshift issue
I can't say enough of how well this product work in solving my transmission issues. My car would do a harsh downshift when coming to a stop after about 10 - 15 minutes of driving. No about of transmission flushing would solve the issue. I came across the Rostra linear solenoids and call the company to make sure that the version was accurate for my car. Installed them myself, about a 2.5 hour job, put in new transmission fluid and put the transmission in adapt mode. Drove for about an hour for the TCM to relearn and now car is smooth as silk. Solenoids DO NOT match OEM quality, RISK of damage to your Transmission!!
This Solenoid set IS NOT as the Original set, positions of solenoids are twisted which makes very difficult to install, hasness is forced and cables barely reach the new conector positions, Transmission makes very harsh shifts from Neutral to Drive and Neutral to Reverse, the original solenoid were cleaned and re-installed and the problem was solved, DO NOT WASTE your time and money, this product will NOT solve your problem.

Volvo V50 replacement solenoids
Easy to follow install instructions for assembly and transmission relearn process. Fixed my cars shifting issue. Glad I took the time to invest in these solenoids and work on my car myself instead of taking to a Volvo dealership for outrageous prices. Sounds like I saved my self $1000's of dollars.
