  • Excellent condition

Item was as described and arrived on time. This book is an amazing read and one of my favorites by Toni Morrison. I first read it in my junior year in highschool as part of our advance English course and remember how powerful the story was. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

  • Written and annotated used book is not acceptable

This book was very marked-up and notated by its previous owner. It is unreadable. Acceptable is not a good descriptor for a book that was used like this.

  • Yet another great book by Toni Morrison. Nice copy in perfect shape.

This is a well known book - Books are near impossible to review as I cannot read them as fast as I buy them. This was written by the late Toni Morrison so of course it is going to be great. I have listened to the audio-book but wanted to read it for myself. No doubt it will be fantastic. Morrison (imho) only wrote great books.

  • Lots of annotations throughout the book which makes it more difficult to read but other than that it is in good condition.

  • Black Life in Early 20th Century of US.

Good quick read about black life in US in the 1930-1950. Most of Morrison's other works dealt with post slavery life. As with 'Beloved' Morrison throws in some, to me, fantasy elements, that may only be in some of the character minds.
