A Must-Read For Anyone Interested In True Crime Novels
This is one of the best true crime novels you will ever read. You will read Jeffery MacDonald’s own words that came from hearings and court transcripts, and also, from letters to his wife. You can form a picture of his personality from these, and it’s very telling. The forensics tell the tale, but Joe McGinniss folds the evidence and the words and actions of J.M. into portrait of guilt of this heinous crime. Others have written books about this case, including those that were attacking Fatal Vision. McGinniss wrote The Final Word to counteract these criticisms. He has since passed away.
