Nice, but hard to program
877 Max Liftmaster keyless entry
I have an older 2003 vintage Liftmaster garage door opener and was fortunate that the 877 Max keyless entry supported both the new and older model garage door openers. I like this product a lot, but had and still have a problem with programing the 877 Max. I now have 4 wireless garage door openers, including the new 877 Max. I had a difficult time programing all 4 wireless openers to work because whenever I programed the 877 Max, one or more of the other wireless garage door openers wouldn’t work. When I finally was able to get all the wireless openers to work, including the 877 Max, I found that the 877 Max “one touch close” would work sometimes and not the other, requiring me to enter the passcode again to close the door. That was fine with me, but then I found at times the one touch close function would work in reverse and actually open the door with just one touch. I’m sure in time I’ll be able to figure this out, but for now, I’m having to wait for the door to close and the 877 Max keypad light to stop blinking before I push one of the 877 Max buttons again to see if the “one touch close” isn’t engage and opens the garage door without using the passcode. Aside from being difficult to program, I’m very pleased with the 877 max.
