Good stuff
It always was good stuff when you could get it in the UK. For reasons not entirely clear, some ingredients had become suspect - something to do with zinc oxide and babies? - and the manufacturers reformulated to a non-greasy phenolic Savlon type ointment which doesn't work quite so well if the skin is chapped or wet eg inside nostrils. Although the price of imported Original from South Africa seems a bit excessive, it is a big tube (50g), it lasts a long time, and the suppliers have to make some profit..

CHILDHOOD MEMEORIES..
I have known this product since childhood. .Always in the first aid box ,and in my memory used for everything... Most important of all,the smell...It has a very distinctive smell which takes you back to a safer time...Your knee scrape would be smothered in it, and instantly you feel that it will be better soon... Obviously I still buy it, but it is very very expensive now, and I try to use it sparingly. .I am nearly 80,the world is a mess,but whenever I use this childhood ointment,I'm transported back to a happier time,and my cuts or burns heal in no time..

GOOD OLD GERMOLENE
Good Old Germolene! For ages I had bemoaned the fact that "real" Germolene could no longer be bought in the UK, and was on the verge of getting someone to bring it back for me from South Africa. It might have been cheaper that way but even so, £18.00 for a tube of ointment that took me back to my childhood was not too high ... AND it cleared up my little "problem" almost immediately. That wonderful smell, the slightly sticky texture ... it really IS the original. If you look on the packaging you can see it now originates in Africa, but don't worry there is no scam here.

Reunited with an old friend!
I'm so pleased to have this product again, I've been searching for it for ages, ever since it was discontinued a few years ago. This isn't the original packaging or maker, but it looks, smells and feels exactly the same, so I'm really pleased with it. As it is so expensive now, I will use it very, very sparingly - it should last me for years!

Best healing ointment.
This ointment is a quick healer. My family all used this for years until it became unavailable in UK. So it’s good it can be sourced now. The only down side is the price of £15.99 for small 20g tube.

Fantastic

Great product
Pink original germolene is useful for many things cuts,sore skin would always use it it may be expensive as you can't buy in UK but worth every penny.

Brilliant
This omimemt is amazing. Its the old fashion pink omimemt that use to come in the small round tins Although a lot of money £25 a tube you only need the smallest amount. Tube lasted me a year.
