The Doctor Who you are!
This is a great rpg volume for playing Doctor Who adventures! Everything you need to run a game is included. It seems to assume a background in playing rpg's, so running a game is easier if you have some experience. If you do not have said experience, or want a more TV/original like flavor, there are many guides and sourcebooks available, so this volume is not really complete by any means but does allow for play "out of the box" for experienced gamers. I really appreciate the lack of die vanity in the "Vortex System". All you need are common 6 sided die available almost anywhere and everywhere for little to no cost. ( No undue attention paid to the dice, which are supposed to be unnoticed if you are doing it correctly, lol). Instructions (character sheets) are included to play known characters on the tele, or you can create your own, more out of the box functionality! Overall an awesome core rules type book! Are you an Whovian? So am I, 40 years counting... buy this book and about 4 other titles if you are serious, you will not be disappointed!!! (keeping in mind the book uses the new doctors for the examples/text without much support for the classic Doctors unless you get the sourcebooks for the Doctor you wish to play).
