Why you would want to read about details regarding Star Trek universe that the shows mention
If you are a casual fan of Trek or someone who is well versed in the topics, this is an interesting read with so much information about not only the technology of the Star Trek universe but also the details of the organization and structure of Star Fleet.

A book for the fans
This is a very informative book granted With what has been done today some of lore mentioned in the book is pretty much antiquated but as a technical manual it still pretty much holds up and definitely a book that fans of the show would enjoy and a must have for any collection
