What a Voice! Extremely well mastered CD!
Doris Day's voice in these two 33 1/3 rpm LPs now on one well-mastered CD is stunning! Humans sometimes say, "CDs sound harsh." On listening to Sentimental Journey the trumpets may sound harsh, but no vinyl breath. Vinyl can't possibly contain the amount of frequency information that is on a master tape and loses A LOT in the high end and quite a bit in the low end. The warm sound of vinyl is distortion created by the needle in constant contact with the vinyl. A person can hear EVERYTHING including the distortion created by the microphones, of that time period, limitations when the sound waves of the trumpets enter the mike.
