Overpriced, but not as much as 3080.
Of course it is overpriced, but like in the title, not as much as the 3080. The MSRP of this was around $1500 to start with, so it wasn't quite twice that when I bought it. However, the 3080 was easily three times the MSRP at purchase time. The mining performance is helping make up for that high price while I'm not gaming. It also makes a great heater during the winter at 370 watts (430 measured from the wall while mining). Haven't tested many games yet, and my monitor is low resolution for now, but good performance in Serious Sam 4 at least. Also has more than twice the memory as 3080, so that adds a little more future-proofing. Had to cut open part of the small case to fit this beast, and I upgraded to a very fancy power supply for that extra few percent in efficiency, which will last hopefully 10 years or more.
