Possibly a great deal, if my mower would start.
I have no idea if this product works or not. I have replaced numerous components but cannot get my mower started. When I pull the rope, it sends electricity to my plug. But I am unable to get fire, gas, and air to meet at the same time. briggs electronic ignition

Ignition coil
It worked well but it is a little larger than the original OEM coil. This caused the air vane governor to not move freely and hit the coil.This cause throttle to remain wide open causing high RPMs. Simple fix though by trimming the air van governor where it was touching the coil.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

The magnetron works great and is a good value.
The magnetron works great. It provides a nice visible spark and starts the engine easily. My only complaint is that even though the unit lines up with the screw holes the curve of the unit is for a larger flywheel. Made it work
The coil did work good, however the coil winding was larger than my old one. Had to make a small modification to avoid interference with the plastic governor lever. (Not Exact Replacement).Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

You can make it fit & you can make it work on your Briggs&stratton! A cut here & an adjustment there,voila
cut a notch in your governor sail to clear interference with coil and set flywheel gap to .003" to get crisp spark. It can be made to work. will it survive a N. Mich winter--only time will tell. most do not--this is the 5th coil in my lawnmowerBestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Good price, functions as the oriiginal coil.
This coil dropped right in, and the engine fired right up. This coil is a different shape compared to the coil it replaced, and it turns out that it interfered with the governor air flag, preventing the engine from slowing down as it should. Trimming a bit of the plastic flag away allowed full movement, and the engine's performance is now just like it was with the original coil. Ignition coil for Briggs& Stratton 591420,398593,496914,793281,793295
The points plunger in my old snowblower, Which sat non running for over twenty years, Was completely seized, And would not move the points in and out. I decided that this was the perfect time to attempt a conversion to an electronic ignition. First i held it up to my old 398593 coil, And it was an exact match. I dug in my junk to come up with a spade connector for the kill switch, Which is mounted on the bottom side. Hooked it all up, And set the coil gap to ten thousandths. And put it all back together. Also i had to trim the air vane governor bottom side to keep it from hitting the coil because the coil is wider than the original. Fresh gas in a clean tank, It started and died twice, then the fourth pull it fired up and stayed running. And thanks to this nice conversion, I now have a decent snowblower, And i can give that snowjoe piece of junk to one of my kids. This coil produces a very strong spark, And never skips a beat. It aligns perfectly on the engine. This is the piece every Briggs and Stratton User needs to continue life on the grass. Check out the picture to see ONE of The lawn mowers it fits on. If you have that lawn mower, then this piece will fit on it. **Will fit others too since it has many different part numbers.. Great item!!! :D
