Great, Bigger GPS
I received my GPS quickly and began using it (within my ability) immediately. I still need to read the instructions and learn the more advanced features. I like the larger than standard size. I do wish it would show me the number of miles for the proposed trip. I hope there is a way to get it to do that. Great GPS Love it
A must have for travelling the screen is big and very easy to use. It has alot more features than a phone app GPS. It has exit ramp notification feature you can put in GPS coordinates . Its very easy to find Gas stations , hotels or recreational places nearby. You can also get traffic alerts and look at traffic cameras. I have had good experiance with Garmin products this is My fifth or sixth one.

Great GPS with a few wrinkles.
Very good product with a few wrinkles: Voice recognition is not great. Several street names were incorrect on each of several trips, making it difficult to navigate in urban/suburban environments. The streets were NOT new. Getting trip guidance to stop with voice commands was unsuccessful. Check your settings in detail, as time permits. For example, if you miss a turn, unless you have u-turns allowed, you won't be informed by the GPS. It will just silently assume you are driving without a destination mode. OK Garmin will not respond, when you give it an OK for an alert popup window message. I still haven't found a voice command to stop guidance. The display and sound are both dimmer at max than my previous garmin nuvi 1450. Otherwise, the larger screen and not having to stop and park to change a destination, etc are very useful. Cant see evidence yet for traffic alerts without tapping alexa. The enclosed power cable doesn't have the big "bubble" on it, though the plug is very large and may contain the traffic antenna that was on my garmin nuvi 1450 GPS. The added screen details for restaurants, gas, etc. are helpful. The ability to voice command the next rest area, parks, etc. is very helpful. The battery life for walk-around use is way too short even with a fully charged battery. Haven't found a way to replace the batteries.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Generalüberholt

Heads up Garmin you blew it on this model.
I've owned Garmin products for almost 20 years. My last model was the Drivesmart 61 LMT which performed well but developed slow response issues. The Drivesmart 65 is quick with it's calculations as the 61 was when first purchased. I have an extensive client base that I drive to and have saved addresses for them which I backed up and moved to the new 65 unit. I've always used voice commands to bring up saved Places and many of the other functions and setting with the 61 LMT which worked well. Unfortunately though the 65 with Alexa is an absolute worthless nightmare in trying to get voice commands to work. I've tried the suggested formats and found that the voice functions of the unit will most likely never work reliably or properly. Definitely a sad excuse for voice activated control compared to the 61 LMT. The unit has to be paired to a smart phone for traffic and other functions. The traffic service used by the 65 is less accurate and reliable than using my smart phone to navigate me to my destinations. Garmin Continues its Heritage of Excellence

Like brand new
The Garmin Drivesmart 65 GPS w/Amazon Alexa was received within a few days and is perfect. I was thinking of changing out my car radio with a modern nav radio. Instead I bought this GPS and am completely satisfied. It follows commands just like an echo at home, streams Bluetooth through my phone and is an excellent quality navigator with a clear screen. A world of features in a sleek unit
The box was a little battered, but the unit does seem to be new. I love this Grmin: the slimness, the sharpness, the features, the user-friendliness. The spoken directions are very, very precise; and clear. The 'OK Garmin' voice feature works like a charm; it makes phone calls truly hands free. Garmin 65 with Alexa
Big plus upgrade over the 61 series, speech directions are spot on, and having the alexa app included makes it a plus. Love the large screen on the unit and clear concise information onscreen directions. Like having a seperate GPS and not using a phone app due to taking calls all the time on the road. Nice feature when synced to your phone the incoming calls show up in a window, also text messages also appear on the screen, just a very usable device to make traveling a breeze.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht
