Amazing
These things are just brilliant, I've been struggling for years with all types of wire strippers, none really worked that well, and I'd end up using scissors! But these don't cut the outer part of the wire but uses pressure and pull it off, perfectly every time. Highly recommended.

An excellent addition to my toolbox
I purchased this wire stripper after reading a number of good reviews. Being an elctronics enthusiast for many years, I have all the usual manual wire stripping tools, which although effective, took some time to alter for differen size wires. This tool makes life so much easier and quicker, and I only wish I had discovered it much earlier! It deals with small wires and larger ones, quickly and efficiently, and the only minor downside is that it cannot handle very large cooker mains cables. However for normal use it for, it is ideal.

A Multipurpose Tool
I’ve been using my old wire strippers since I was sixteen; which took two hands and suitable elbow space however, this FATMAX device strips outer insulation as well as inner conductors to a practical degree. There is no need for sharp knives or cut skin since it comes with a handy cutter and several crimpers for the job ahead. Moreover, as a grandfather one is never too old to improve on the past.

Better than expected
I did not believe wire strippiong could be so easy. My only slight downside is that the instruction pictures on the pack are not helpful if you have not used auto strippers before. An online video for some other make of strippers solved my confusion.

Stanley Fatmax auto wire stripper
Better priced, equally as durable as other top brands with the extra comfort of soft grip handles. Typical Stanley dependability. Top marks from me.

Hardwearing and self-adjusting.
The equivalent tool made by CK has brittle plastic handles which shatter if dropped. The Stanley one has rubber handles and is very durable. Makes cable stripping very easy.

Does the business
An excellent well designed product that actually works well. Could clean removal of wire covering giving consistency when doing multiple repeat operations. Not suitable in confined spaces due to size of tool and opening distance of jaws. A very impressive tool. Recommended

By far the best design there is for stripping wires.
OK, so the design is not unique BUT it is by far the best design for wire strippers IMO. It does not cut some of the strands like other wire strippers and the operation is effortless. It costs maybe a little bit more but well worth the extra investment, even if you are not going to use it that often. I have already used it a couple of times and I am very happy with it.

Nice tool, works well.
It's a nice tool, seems to be well made and nicely balanced with a good feel. It strips wire well, but for very thin wires you need to fiddle with the tension otherwise it tends to just rip the wire apart rather than strip it. Also, the minimum guided stripping distance is about 1cm, so to strip less you just have to guess. There's a significant amount of force needed to pull the handles, so it's difficult to use the wire cutter blades in a controlled way, but then, you probably want a neat pair of side-cutters to do that anyway.

Don’t Hesitate buy one
These are an awesome well made bit of kit from STANLEY Perfect for cutting wire , then easily removing the sheath and finally cutting the wires to length and trimming the ends to wire . I’m sure the crimped will work as well. A totally useful practical tool
