Audubon Bird Call? For the Birds, and You Too! Wonderful Music!
This is one of the simplest little musical instruments to exist! It is the music of so many things, not just birds which it does best, but music of the imagination. Small, simple, and meant to take with you everywhere. I had one when I was young, probably lost it or the tiny container of rosin that renew it when dirty or wet. I kept it in my pocket instead of using the simple hole in it to hang from a chain or string. Make sure to keep the capsule of rosin safe, dry, and easy to find. It is tiny and delicate, not like the bird call. Whenever the call stops making noise, a very, very, small amount of rosin powder between the wood and metal will refresh it so long as it is clean and dry. Maintained like that, it will last lifetimes. Lifetimes of joy, too! Just twist the wood and metal very gently together and the friction between them will sing for you. Simple movements make different sounds, I can sit still and just make it sing for me for hours! It will attract birds, but perfecting the right sounds takes practice! I have a dove at home and he always responds to it, I'm trying to get his coo from it and getting close! It's the perfect instrument for Grandparents and Grandkids, a treasure to pass down. You might think the price is high for such a small simple thing, but the entertainment you and everyone will get is priceless. It really is worth it. I don't know if there are any other brands, but I wouldn't trust another. Make sure it says "Audubon Bird Call" on it.

An effective little gadget but OVERPRICED
It took me a while to get the right twisting and pulling but once I did I can make sounds like small birds. It is a neat little gadget but totally overpriced and should not cost anyone more than 3 bucks.- with shipping it cost me over $10. The rosin power is important to use with it.

Alternative to Pishing
Fun little tool when you get tired of pishing. Got the attention of a Long-eared Owl a while back. This replaces one I lost. Easy to keep attached to my book pouch on my belt.

Great little device; must-have for birders
This little device is incredible! I use it every time I go birdwatching. It makes a chirping should that makes birds curious to come out from the places they're hiding to look at me! And kids love to play with it; it's very sturdy. I put it on my binoculars strap so I always have it with me when I go out with my Audubon Society buddies or just by myself.

tons of fun in a small package.
I have been calling in birds since I got my bird call, It really does mimic many song birds. I now have 2 juncos that come every time I call them and eat the seeds I place on the rail about 1 inch away from me. I get so much enjoyment out of just sitting and trying new technics with my bird call, it is in my pocket whenever I go out. Best gift I have bought for myself in a long time !

Talk to the Birds!
My children grew up with an Audubon Bird Call and a Squirrel Call beside the kitchen door. Any one of us could just pick it up on any day, take it outside, sit on the steps and invite birds or squirrels to have a conversation. Now I have grandchildren and I've passed new Audubon Bird Calls on to them. Pops right in your pocket if you're out for a hike. This is a delightful item to have.

The Original Audubon Bird Call
This item produces a very realistic sound of birds to me, but no bird in my backyard seems to be interested in the sound of this bird call. I still want to keep trying in hope that some of them would respond to the sound someday - wishful thinking?
