Amazing quality
I researched this for several weeks before I made the decision on this axe. I had expectations from the reviews and tests that I had seen, but I was blown away at the quality. First thing, the edge is SHAVING sharp. Not just taking a couple of hairs off, I mean SHARP. The handle is nice and smooth, no varnish, or weird finish. The handle was hung solid, no rocking or play at all. Perfectly contoured and extremely comfortable to use. Perfect weight and balance for a pack axe. The hand forged head has it’s blemishes, but it makes it look like it’s meant to be used. Just like with any new wooden handle it needs some boiled linseed oil ever now and then. Sharper Than You Think
