Nice tuners, but not perfect
I purchased these tuners to go on my PRS SE 30th Anniversary CU24. I chose these tuners specifically because the locking mechanism is an easy to grip cap on the back of the tuner (instead of a post requiring a screwdriver on the front) and (most importantly) they use the same anchor holes as the original tuners can came on my guitar. These Schaller tuners are high quality, and they look and feel that way when you use them. My only complaint is that they have a lower gear ratio than the tuners they replaced, 16:1 instead of the 18:1 of the originals. I knew this at the time, but I decided it wouldn't be a significant difference. If you don't know already, that means that for every full revolution of the spindle, you have to turn the tuning keys fully around 16 times. As the gear ratio gets closer to 1:1, moving the tuning key a given distance makes the spindle turn further. Like I said, I didn't think the difference between 16:1 and 18:1 would be noticeable, but I was wrong. It requires just a bit more care when tuning up to pitch, because it's easier to overshoot! If I had it to do over again, I would buy tuning machines with an 18:1 ratio. On the other hand, once tuned to pitch, these tuning machines hold tune very well indeed! Bottom line, these days 18:1 tuning machines are becoming more or less the standard, and these machines, at 16:1, suffer a little bit in comparison. But they work well in spite of this, and they definitely feel and look like a high-quality product.

Highest quality Tuners made for a strat
Easy to restring. Pull new string thru machine head till almost tight. Leave about 2 inches beyond where the string goes thru the machine head and cut off. Tighten the knurled lock screw till finger snug ( do not gorilla tighten, snug is all you need. Any more can damage the tuner). Tune the string to proper pitch and cut off the remaining string on back side of tuner. You should have basically little to no winding around machine head. Locking tuners prevent any slippage so once you do initial string stretching your guitar stays in tune very nicely. Love these things. Schaller is super high quality product.

Schaller 6 in-line locking tuners chrome
Great quality at a good price from this seller. Easier to install than Sperzel with no drilling for pins, instead drill for the screw that keeps the body from turning.

Beautiful quality
The locking mechanism is very precise. The quality is exceptional. I ordered the wrong one to start but musicians friend allowed me to return them and order the correct 3 per side set not 6 inline,

Great German mechanics
I had a pleasure to use standard Schaller tuners for 8 years(still like new), easy to replace and put new locking tuners. Very satisfied!

PRS SE SANTANA replacement tuners
I bought these to replace the factory tuners. Easy to install and less expensive than the modded PRS originals. Excellent quality.

Schaller M6 Locking Tuners - Great Product
I received them in excellent condition. Item exactly as described. They were a perfect fit for my PRS SE Custom 24. Swapped them out in about 15 minutes. Product works excellent and guitar stays in tune. Would definitely purchase from this vendor again.
