Amazingly hard to put down
My 14 yr old daughter chose this book to read, over the summer, for a book report that is due in her honors English class. She read it in 2 days. We could actually have an intelligent conversation about the story line. Very interesting book and well written.

Loaded with Figurative Language
I ordered this book because I was inspired by the movie, Field of Dreams. The writing is extremely figurative and loaded with metaphors. I ended up skipping sentences due to the writer's continual embellished descriptions that drag down the tempo. I kept saying out loud, "okay already! I got it." Whew. A good story but it drags for this reason.

Shoeless joe
It’s a great book! Once you get into it you see all the differences between the book and the movie and you start to understand why the book was so much better
