It does work and is very sesitive.
I have a low level test sample and used t to verify the operation of this Geiger plug in for Samsung S4. Downloaded the app from play store and did the testing. Here is where people are having problems, you need a test sample to under stand how and where to use the probe. It is most sensitive at the tip. I compared the reading with a Radex RD150R3 and the readings were within ~15% of each other depending on how far from sample. Low level sample has to be pretty close of course. I was able to read .30 ~1.0 micro Sv/h about 1/2'' from test sample. Makes a reading within ~20 seconds or so but takes a few minutes to get a decent reading. Has CPM as well. Get a test sample for best results as it takes some trail and error for best measuring technique IMO.

It doesn't work
The product doesn't work. It just changes based on physical contact and the reading increases based on movement or impacts. It's a scam. Do not buy this Geiger counter. You would be better to spend the money on magic beans. At least you would then have beans or the opportunity to get a golden goose.

FTLabs Smart Geiger (for Android)...Doesn't seem to work at all.
Downloaded the app (to a Samsung Galaxy S4), followed the instructions, and got 0 (zero) readings on everything (including bananas) that I tried. I think it might be a problem with the app, but either way it's been a total waste of $ for me so far!

A fascinating instrument
As a technician I have often wondered the level of radiation in the equipment I maintain and am surprised at some really old luminous dials and level of radiation they emanate even thou they are really old, I now count this as an essential tool in my workshop

Little piece of sensor with good function
Item arrived in time, function confirmed. The easiest way to use it without side effect is to turn your smartphone to flight mode under measurement.

Does it even work?
It did not measure the ionizing radiation from pre1940 FiestaWare (Uranium), or a smoke detector (Californium) with the metal shielding cut away. I installed the latest software on my Samsung Galaxy. Also, shipping was very slow.

Doesn’t work right
It does detect radiation but is not accurate at all. And also when it is bumped it says that there is radiation but there is none pay the extra money for a good one.
