Smart Buy for Most Situations
Nikon V1 is great for families. It has awesome tracking system for moving subjects that makes great for taking pictures of kids playing. 30-110mm VR is great lens for parents who play sports. 18.5mm makes it great for portraits and nice shots with decent subject isolation. (Blurred background) 10-30mm and 10mm are great but they are in cellphone territory that I doubt most people will use V1 over their cellphones for convenience. V1 is extremely fun camera to shoot pictures with. I got a awesome deal on a whole set with 10-30, 30-110, 18.5, and flash with my v1. Another hidden jewel is 10-100mm pd for videos.
