Only good part was some F/X.
There is nothing good about this attempt at a movie [except for a few F/X]. THE SUB-PLOT: A white, middle aged, cigar smoking, pervert, senator [or congressman] has hired a doctor to make a drug that kills addicts. A batch gets out that doesn't have the effects the politician is looking for. This mistake drug can make a user go on a psychotic killing spree that can kill innocent bystanders, too. So the doctor has to try to hunt all the drugs down. Now the main story plot: A group of heroine junkies have decided to board themselves up in one of the junkie's, uncle's mansion. It's more of a farm house. The purpose is that they're going to get 'high' one last time before going cold turkey in the boarded up house, together. They happen to have a little of the experimental drug. And of course we have a homicidal psychosis set in on at least one of them. All junkies are always clean, with freshly shampooed hair, and -for the most part- very clean clothes. Though they are supposed to be strung out heroine junkies some of them are deeply 'in love'. Junkies = good. Society = evil. But society made junkies which are good... [Yeah...?!] Filming via some electrical recording device [with spotty, bad darks]. Poor acting. poor directing. Inane script. The farm house would be great for a "Texas Chainsaw" or such movie. There were scenes of a guy cutting himself with a knife that had some of the best F/X I have ever seen!!! For best results- all of the main characters should have been killed off before the end of the opening scene. The writers did no research on junkies. In fact they glorified the junkies.
