Good history of one of the more tragic hotel fires in the USA. Unfortunately at the time of the fire, hotels were not required to have fixed fire sprinkler systems nor central receiving fire alarm systems. nor were the room required to have exit route signs in the rooms to show the way out from the room to the exit stairways.
