Couldn't be more pleased

Excellent introduction to DSLRs
Bought this off eBay (body only) as I was after a DSLR. This is an excellent camera choice, it gives really crisp pictures and the auto focus system is fast and accurate. There are literally hundreds of lenses to choose from, so from a fisheye to a long zoom lens, there is a lens to suit every photographic occasion. Being a DSLR camera this is not a 'point and click' solution. If you are after holiday snaps then this will do the job but might be a bit overkill. The 24MP sensor will give you amazingly clear photos and with the many shooting options creativity is right at your fingertips. I wanted to try and capture images that don't always require a session in Photoshop and this will do that. The camera interface is easy to use and set up. I downloaded a firmware update from Nikon's website and flashed it to the camera, a very easy process and completed in a few minutes. The menu system is pretty easy to use, though I had read elsewhere that is wasn't very intuitive. I think most tech savvy people will be able to work through it pretty easily. The body is fairly lightweight and not too big, though once a lens is attached it becomes quite bulky. As with any DSLR camera a case or bag for it would be a good idea, just to protect it from any knocks and scratches.
