I have used Gigabyte motherboards for the last 15 years and reliability has been excellent. The motherboard has seemed to keep its value very well. It works absolutely fine for what I need, I can go to 6 core 3.6 GHz processors with 4 GHz or more available by overclocking. It does show its age somewhat with only having 2 sata 6 GB ports, but 2 SSD hard drives is plenty. I did notice the VRM heatsinks ran hot but a cooling fan aimed at them has resulted in low running temperatures. Well recommended but do not pay silly prices for this board.
Used this as part of a refresh to an ageing rig, to replace another make board that had started performing erratically, this was installed easily and is still a solid performer. I am using the on board RAID which does require some careful reading of the manual to get the exact outcome you are after, but seems to be working well.
