2007 Trek 5000 TCT NOS
Great bike. For some reason Trek found a bunch of these in a warehouse in 2019 so now many sellers have some old classic early Trek 5000 in the TCT carbon fiber from 2007 as new old stock frame sets. On mine the FRONT DERAILLEUR BRACKET AND BB CABLE GUIDE were NOT INLCUDED. If you are looking at one of these frames, it is important to get the front derailleur bracket and BB cable guide. They are specific to this frame, and you CANNOT use a clamp-on front derailleur. But the Bracket is Trek part #253438 and the BB cable guide can also be ordered from your LBS Trek dealer. Not a problem here in Wisconsin as Trek is based here and many LBS are Trek dealers. But the bike originally came with a Canecreek Aheadset slimstak cartridge bearing headset so it’s easy to get one of those as well. I put Shimano 105 10 speed on mine, so after I acquired the hardware It was all set to build. Very nice bike, especially if you find some of the new old stock in 2019!
