quite the lawman
The "Longmire" TV series is about a Wyoming sheriff, who is a mixture of Matt Dillon and Sherlock Holmes...he HAS to be, since he seems to have jurisdiction over the murder capital of America. Each week, he faces a new mystery as another dead body is found...no Chicago police detective ever investigated more homicides per capita than Longmire! Based on the "Walt Longmire Mysteries" series of books by author Craig Johnson, "Longmire" is quite an entertaining evening's watch, if you can hold off disbelief in the occurrences of so many murders in the sparsely-settled state of Wyoming. Distributed by A & E, the show stars Australian actor Robert Taylor (with a perfect American accent) as Longmire; Lou Diamond Phillips as his Native American buddy Henry Standing Bear; Katee Sackhoff as his chief deputy Vic Moretti; Bailey Chase as Deputy Branch Connally; Adam Bartley as Deputy "the Ferg" Ferguson; Cassidy Freeman as Walt's daughter Cady: and Louanne Stephens as dispatcher Ruby. Each week we are kept guessing as Longmire gets to the bottom of Whodunit,we are completely involved with all the well-developed characters...this modern day Western is one of the most entertaining efforts to come on the tube in years.

I hope there's more
After one episode I was hooked. It moves as fast as a modern western detective series can but the characters and plot kept my attention. Like Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad and Sons, there is a story within a story. Longmire looks after his people and solves crimes while solving his own mystery. The clues are dropped at just the right time and when you blink, or take a break with pausing, you will miss something important to the big picture. I loved it and am hoping for a season 4. Recommended for most

"Not just a western"
This is an excellent series. Great acting, great story, and superb scenery. Just the kind of series I've been waiting for! I love the Native American elements, love the mystery, and find it amazing that the writers can so successfully mix modern day Wyoming with so many elements of the past. Hope Netflix continues with many more seasons!

Good acting and dialogues
Very like the intrigue and the even today's differences between the whites and the natives. I like the friendship whit Walt and Henry and the work relation of Vic and the rest of the crew (without mentioning how cute she is.) Really love all the seasons, can't wait for the next ones. THE EXCITEMENT AND ADVENTURE CONTINUE
Those of you that are already addicted to Longmire will not be disappointed. So many unexpected twists and turns keeps you on the edge while the continuing underlying bundle of sub-plots slowly unwind and finally all come to a head in the exciting last few adventures. Compelling mystery played out by excellent casting.

ONE OF "THE" BEST!!
ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS ON TV. ALL MY FRIENDS WHO HAVE SEEN IT SAY THE SAME. GREAT STORIES WITH CHARACTERS THAT YOU LOVE OR HATE. A SHERIFF IN A MONTANA TOWN, NEXT TO THE CHEYENNE INDIAN RESERVATION. A CLOSE FRIEND SAID THAT HE WATCHED ALL OF THE SEASONS OF SHOWS IN 3 DAYS OF WATCHING. HE DOES NOT LIKE MOST TV SHOWS, BUT LOVES THIS ONE AS I DO TOO.

Longmire is the best serives. Every actor is the best hands down. Can't wait until Season 6.....

love this show
I love this show, it has wonderful story line and characters and flows nicely never boring. I have already purchased season 4 and hope it continues into more seasons.

Longmire
My husband and I both love this series and have watched all of them several times while it is on Netflix and will continue to watch this set of DVD-s til we wear them out. T.V. is not so good anymore and Netflix is crazy to cancel this wonderful series but it will be nice to have these DVD,s to fall back on when nothing else is any good. A good western is hard to beat.

Longmire Television Series Seasons 1 - 3
Awesome law enforcement series. One of the most dramatic shows today...in my opinion. Too interesting and challenging---you almost cannot put your controller down. All ages should enjoy as there is something here for everyone.
