Originally titled The Solutrean, better I think, but worth the buy.
Beautiful photography creating an otherworldly feeling for the portrayal of Europe 20,000 years ago. Excellent for children and even an adult for some reason enjoys the revisiting of attitudes toward life so changed and hyped today. No tortured psychology here, just the reality of survival day to day. Smit-Mcphee continues to surprise as a seeming nonentity which inevitably connects with you in all his films.

One of the best movies of 2018!
One of the best movies of 2018, "Alpha" is marvelous. it's an adventure back into time. We see prehistoric hunters in their daily lives, and an unusual friendship formed between a young man and a wounded wolf. Beautifully acted, with a smart script, this is a gorgeous film to see.

Good adventure
Interesteng to watch the young. Cro-magnon survive seemingly impossible odds. He injures, then rescues a wolf. They grow together as they journey towards his family and. Tribe. Not the way it really was in many aspects but very satisfing.

Different, Exciting, Good Movie!
I like good and different movies like this one. Wolves are unpredictable as man is. Will have others over to watch this movie and get there input on it also.

Alpha.
All and all it was a good movie. But all in caption on the bottom of screen. They should have made this movie in english. The tribal language was nice, but people wont understand it. But shows how the elements can wear you down. Survival is the key point.

A little misleading about subject matter.
A great movie to watch and enjoy. Not an academy award picture but very entertaining.

Worth watching
The wolf/dog deserved an Oscar. I found the movie highly entertaining, but not realistic as far as being able to survive the elements in the manner he did. That aside, I really enjoyed the movie.
