Unusual operating method.
It has the usual Snap-on quality but the punches have an unusual operating method. Unlike an Engineer's Punch when you press and it clicks to make the impression or a standard punch where you hit it with a hammer these rely on stretching the head away from the body, then when released the spring brings the head into contact with the punch part. You need two hands to make it work, unlike an Engineer's Punch which needs only one. It does provide a consistent and considerable impact.
