Great Reel!
This Penn Spinfisher 4500LL reel is made using CNC (Computer Numeric Command) machining technology. That means the gears are turned out on a machine that is set to very close tolerances. The product is high quality, and very sturdy with an all metal body,and gears. The body is sealed to prevent saltwater intrusion. I spooled mine with 40lb. Power Pro braid. The 4500LL spool holds over 200 yards of this 40lb braid,and it's perfect for salmon fishing on the Sacramento River, and its' tributaries, in Northern California. I used this reel the first morning after I received it, and it performed flawlessly. I was casting Meps Flying C 7/8 oz lures from a dock in Walnut Grove, California, and I was very happy and impressed with the performance of this reel.

Huge catfish
I wanted a good durable reel for catching large fish up to 60lbs. After reading reviews I chose this one. I really love it. Pulled in several fish in the 30-40 lb. Range with ease. Drag works great and also has the live bait feature. I totally recommend it.

Great saltwater spinning reel
I got this reel for inshore fishing targeting striped bass and sturgeon. Casts very well and retrieves smooth. The new live liner feature works excellent when fishing with chunk or live bait. It would be the perfect reel if the clicker was a little bit louder. I’ve only had it for a week but I can tell from the build quality that this reel will last for a long time.

Great reel
Nothing better for kayak fishing out in Hawaii. Live bait and this reel = pelagic fish in the cooler

Penn SSVI 4500LL
This is my #5 SSVI 4500LL to date. I use it on live baits … ie shrimp, finger mullet, and mud minnows.
