Great value for the price and works well to boot but must pay in advance.
Works well. Number transfer is almost instant but make sure you have your previous account number and pin. Great value for the price. After the 3 month promotion, the cost goes up of course. If you want to keep cost close to the promotional price, then you need to switch to the 12 month plan. You need to pay for the whole year in advance. They use T-Mobile's network. As with all MVNO, T-Mobile will prioritize their own customer's traffic over Mint when it's busy. I have not seen any significant issues or slow downs. Download the MintMobile App to see realtime how much data you have left for the month. Once it's used up, it will drop to a very slow 2G speed. It does have international calling and roaming data but you have to pay in advance to use it. But it doesn't expire as long as your account is active. It also has WifI Calling, but I haven't tried it, in case your work or home has very poor reception.

Great for your KIDS!
Mint Mobile runs on Tmobile. I read one review that he got way better on his Iphone and that he believed data was slowed this is utter B.S Tmobile doesnt slow you're data just because its an MVNO. IF Tmobile is good for you period then so is Mint of course if Tmobile doesnt have coverage in you're area you wont I get between 20- 40 mbs in Pocatello, Idaho depending on the area. Of course if you go over your plan limits then you will be slowed to a crawl 8 gig is plenty for me and Mint is great if you have kids because no worries about overages. 8 gig is plenty to listen to Spotify or an occasional YouTube video or just browsing the net. I also have Tmobile on contract. There is no difference in coverage.The main difference is customer service. Tmobile has some of the BEST live customer reps period. As Mint is just online. Though signing up and entering your sim number on the website is simple. Ive never had a problem with service even though I use this as my second line on my HTC U11. My main phone is a One plus 7 Pro. My kids phone is an LG 7 ThinQ and shes also never had a problem except for running out of data as shes on Facebook messenger to often .

T-Mobile with a different name
Perfect product The competition's creeping in though their plans need to be a bit cheaper or offer a bit more maybe a $40-45$ unlimited because if you get the 12 gig plan and your cycling every 3 or 6 months you're almost paying what T-Mobile recharge on their basic unlimited. You do the math but I'll try other products in the meantime but definitely happy with what mobile has to offer and they're not losing a customer yet

Good deal for large data users at least for 3 months.
This is a great deal for 3 months. Unfortunately then the rate goes up unless you opt for their annual plan. Easy to set up. Only wish the coverage was better around here.

Good in the city, suburb sub-par
Like typical T-mobile, fast in the city, bad in the suburb. Only one bar reception in the Farmingdale NY airport parking lot, haven't tested in NJ, but should be pretty much the same

SIM chip does not work as advertised
I have properly installed the SIM card in two different phones and a G4 "Phablet" trying to get a working Cell Data connect, all to no avail. This is worthless to me.

I recommend this network
I was looking for an affordable network and was hooked onto the 3 month opening combo. The price is still fairly reasonable to what I was paying. The signals not always 100% in certain areas but so far it’s been sweet as.

Easy and reliable
Mint mobile for the most part has worked out well for me, I have had a few glitches with data but the company has managed to get things worked out.
