I wanted a French Maid and got a Roomba instead ( I named her Sally )
Wish it had a dirt bag and the dust full indicator stays on after you empty it. You have to dust off several electronic sensors before it will operate again. It does a good job. We have two dogs and it is just what we needed. It even goes under the beds ! Just have to clear the path of shoes, socks, throw rugs with fringe, electrical cords etc. goes from wood to tile Over the trim strop no problem. wood to carpet OK wood to one high carpet not so good.. I can not find where to change the start time . default start time is 9am and you just pick the days you want it to clean

Has no power. Dirt gets to filter but none to bin. I have to trash it or maybe someone could fix it.
It has no power to get dirt to chamber only on filter. It has to be trashed as it is no good. No more eBay with no return for me as it must have been a reject. Sad as I have had others who worked but old. It just wasted 400. for me which I cannot afford.

Oscar
The first night I used Oscar, I closed off the bedrooms and the hall bathroom. He did a great job. The next time I used him, I let him do the whole house. He had a little trouble navigating the other rooms. I figured it was due to the fact of the rooms being closed off the first time. The next time he still had a little trouble. I did a factory reset and ran him again with all the doors open. He did a great job.

Needs improvement:
The unit keeps getting caught some where in the house and stops. The dirt container is really bad! It fills with lint and dirt ok, but it is very small and needs a larger container. It does not scope the whole house out on it mapping.. Several rooms where missed because of its navigation? I assumed it mapped the whole house rooms and then would go back to them, it did not? My biggest complaint is the storage dirt container!

Roomba 985
This is amazing to watch working. The only thing we needed to pay attention to was emptying the pick up bin. Our carpets shed a lot and this thing was diligent in getting not only the dirt but the fuzziness off the rugs. After one use we love it.

Happy customer
Is easy to set up and program to phone app. Once it maps out the house preforms reliables. Just program and let run.

Great Performance!
Better than our older Roombas (600 series). No hair tangles on hard to clean brushes. Cleaner outcome with almost 100% coverage. WIFI connection is a plus!

great value
awesome upgrade from a 675 Roomba that lasted quite some time and got sick of dumping money into it for repairs. the 985 is a great upgrade with intelligent mapping, it doesn't seem to knock into furniture or other things that get in the way as hard as it's dumber older self (675). It has quite a bit of suction compared to the 675 and the bin does fill up quick when you use it on carpet. The bin seems to require a little more attention when emptying it compared to the 675 but it filters the air better and picks up a lot more.
