Brilliant Zefal RS75 MTB Deflector rear mudguard
Love this. Wanted one that would fit under neath my rear rack. This works well. Hoping for clean bag and jacket from now on. Comes back and curves down so shouldn’t spray anyone directly behind either. Would have given 5 stars but a bit fiddly to fit, also a bit wobbly as no rear attachments, but easily fixed with little modification, and now very sturdy as attached to frame with two zip ties by drilling two little holes in it near rear to attach to rack. Sturdy but difficult to fit
I liked the quality of this product but when it came to fitting!!!!! I followed the instructions to use a length of the rubber spacing as I was fitting it to the rear seat stays. How fiddly was it then to wrap around, jnsert the end of the strap into the socket then hold that in place whilst holding up the guard and tightening the bolt. Then when I did manage to tighten in the length of rubber strip suggested in the instruction was far too much which made the strap bulge and break off a section of the plastic socket!!! I eventually used a thin strip of rubber I had left over from some old lights and that was enough!! Once on though it was very sturdy. I had to take it off this weekend to put a pannier rack on to go bike packing and I’m really hoping that it goes on much more easily the second time!!
